On 23 September, during the first edition of Barcelona Hotel Bar Week, the bilingual quarterly magazine devoted to hospitality is presented at Punch Room at The Barcelona Edition. The day carries the project beyond Italian borders, into a city that has shaped trends and styles in the bar world for years.

Coqtail in Barcelona Takes Over the Edition

Those who know Barcelona recognise Punch Room as a singular address. A spiral staircase descends to the lower level of The Barcelona Edition and opens into a lounge with a speakeasy spirit, removed from the city rhythm. Cocktails draw on local distillates and seasonal ingredients, with silver punch bowls as a defining signature. Velvet, gold and dark wood shape the mood of a private club. Here the magazine meets a Spanish and international community gathered for the first Hotel Bar Week, scheduled from 22 to 28 September 2025.

The Punch Room’s Special Drink List

For the presentation on 23 September, an invite-only session from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, two leading figures of the Catalan scene have created an exclusive list. At Punch Room, Bar Manager Matteo Fasciana and Head Bartender Marie Amelie Fabre will serve El Jardín de la Condesa, a low-ABV mix that weaves Licor Gardeum, pomelo cordial and oleo saccharum, rooibos tea and a splash of soda. From Dr. Stravinsky, Davide Norcini will present Hasta la Raíz, built on Gin Condesa, rose and bergamot cordial and Liqueur Gardeum, for a fresh, floral profile. Two cocktails designed to channel the energy of Barcelona and to express what Coqtail – for fine drinkers brings to every issue: an editorial project that combines journalistic perspective and aesthetic sensibility, telling the story of mixology as a cultural phenomenon.
